Aidan Baker’s first solo release of experimental/ambient guitar, Element, has been newly re-mastered and -issued on CD by the Russian label Tetamorphosis. These are recordings that date from the late 90s and were originally released on CDr by the micro-label Arcolepsy Records. The album is available physically here in the BSP webshop or digitally here:

There are also a handful of the last few copies of Baker’s limited LP releases Mépris (with Jakob Thiesen on drums) and Smudging (with Richard Baker on drums):

The second album, Children of Mars, from Adoran, Aidan Baker’s bass and drums dronesludge duo with Dorian Williamson on Northumbria is out now on Consouling Sounds. It is available directly from the label here or the BSP webshop. Those of you in North America will be able to get it directly from a href=””>Northumbria shortly.

Children of Mars was recorded at Polyphasic Studios in Toronto and mastered by James Plotkin (as was our self-titled debut), and features artwork by Karlynn Holland:

Imperfection, Nadja’s collaborative album with Vampillia, originally released on CD in conjunction with our 2014 Japanese tour, is now newly available on LP from Throne Records. It is available to order from the label or directly from us in the Broken Spine webshop/.

In perfromance news, Nadja will be playing a free show, presented by the CTM Festival, at Urban Spree in Berlin on July 27 with Sun Worship and DJ James Kelly – more info here.

Aidan’s ‘trance-punk’ trio Caudal will be heading out on tour in Germany, Belgium, and France this week, in conjunction with the announcement of a limited 12″ ep, Murk, on Midira Records. In more new release news, Aidan Baker’s double CD album Half Lives, forthcoming in April from Gizeh Records, is now available for pre-order here. This album combines experimental/ambient sounds with slowcore/post-rock-ish songs, one cd more electric, the other more acoustic. Stream a sample track here:

Aidan Baker’s 2006 album The Sea Swells A Bit has finally been seen a 2LP vinyl re-issue from the French label Ici d’ailleurs.

The album is available directly from the label, the BSP webshop, and at upcoming performances, including these two Nadja shows next weekend:
