Out now from Midira Records: Aidan Baker’s new album Dualism, a double CD release featuring two versions of the same songs, one set recorded at Broken Spine Studios and the other at Legato Studios, both in Berlin.
A special, limited 3CD set in a handmade cloth pouch is available directly from Midira or one can order the 2CD version directly from the us at the BSP webshop.

Fantasies, Plagues…

Back in 2011 Aidan Baker released a limited LP, Plague of Fantasies, with Blackest Rainbow Records. This album was supposed to have a companion LP, Sorry For What I Said To You In Your Dream, which ended not being released…so, we have made it (along with Plague of Fantasies) available digitally on the BSP bandcamp page as a ‘buy now/pay-what-you-can’ release:
Both of these albums were originally recorded on cassette 4-track back in 2005 (around the same time as Lost In The Rat Maze, released on CD by Consouling Sounds) and digitally re-worked/-mixed/-mastered in 2010. For anyone interested in comparing, some of those earlier, 2005 versions of these tracks are available digitally now on Aidan’s bandcamp:

Aidan Baker’s first solo release of experimental/ambient guitar, Element, has been newly re-mastered and -issued on CD by the Russian label Tetamorphosis. These are recordings that date from the late 90s and were originally released on CDr by the micro-label Arcolepsy Records. The album is available physically here in the BSP webshop or digitally here:
There are also a handful of the last few copies of Baker’s limited LP releases Mépris (with Jakob Thiesen on drums) and Smudging (with Richard Baker on drums):

In more new release news, Aidan Baker’s double CD album Half Lives, forthcoming in April from Gizeh Records, is now available for pre-order here.
