Our new limited EP Songs for Wong Kar-wai, part of the biographical zine series from Wist Records, is now out:

The zine features artwork by Manfred Naescher based on stills from Chungking Express, In The Mood For Love, and 2046 by Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar-wai. The EP is already sold out from the label, but we do have a few copies available in the BSP webshop and will have some at these upcoming shows:

Some new visual media:

A montage of the paintings by Manfred Naescher which accompany Nadja’s limited EP, Songs For Wong Kar-wai, third in a series of a biographical fanzine series from Wist Records, and coming out November 10:

Filmmaker Marie Elisa Scheidt has made a lovely video for Aidan Baker’s A Black Crow Flies, from the album Half Lives: Mountains Sweat Clouds on Gizeh Records:

And, lastly, a trailer for Emily Schultz’s book The Blondes, directed by Brian Joseph Davis, and with Nadja’s song Drown (from Flipper on Oaken Palace Records as the background soundtrack:

Fantasies, Plagues…

Back in 2011 Aidan Baker released a limited LP, Plague of Fantasies, with Blackest Rainbow Records. This album was supposed to have a companion LP, Sorry For What I Said To You In Your Dream, which ended not being released…so, we have made it (along with Plague of Fantasies) available digitally on the BSP bandcamp page as a ‘buy now/pay-what-you-can’ release:

Both of these albums were originally recorded on cassette 4-track back in 2005 (around the same time as Lost In The Rat Maze, released on CD by Consouling Sounds) and digitally re-worked/-mixed/-mastered in 2010. For anyone interested in comparing, some of those earlier, 2005 versions of these tracks are available digitally now on Aidan’s bandcamp:

In touring news, things are quite busy in the next two months, as we jaunt around the European continent:
